Message from the President
Dear Members,
Professional Development Days (PDD) is quickly approaching and it looks to be another very successful year all the way around! The talent and dedication of the volunteers involved is quite impressive and their commitment to providing the best educational and leadership topics in Minnesota is well underway. Prepare yourself to be challenged with four days of engaging sessions and classes, incredible speakers and a venue to network with other project management professionals.
As leaders in the field of project management, we must continue adopting new business operations, tools, and techniques to improve our efficiency and stimulate growth. Emerging project managers in different industries with new, distinct ideas are prompting us to transform as individuals and as a chapter. Maintaining flexibility is a key factor in catering to the diversification of newly developing markets and industries.
As members of PMI Minnesota, we are encouraged to embrace the importance of providing career-seeking individuals with advice by sharing our stories in this profession. At this year’s PDD, I urge all experienced attendees to seek out those individuals, regardless of their path, and find ways to connect while being open to new ideas and discoveries. Although our journeys and beliefs may vary, this event creates an excellent opportunity to come together, face-to-face, and celebrate our wonderful profession.
Once again, the gratitude I have for the team of volunteers who have worked countless days, weeks, and months is immeasurable. I look forward to standing, learning, sharing and growing with them along with our fellow members guests next week. I’ll see you at the RiverCentre!
Best regards,
- Mohamed F. Diab MBA, Ph.D., A.M.ASCE
