Job Description: 

Our client is looking for a IT Project Manager responsible for the coordination and execution of HR program deployment, process improvement, business process implementation projects, and support transition for the HR function and HR organization. In this role, you will work with the team to continue to deliver services related to governance, project management and program management tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the successful execution of process improvement and other core services projects across the shared services organization using process improvement, project management, and change management methodologies.
  • Utilize innovation, influence and leadership through collaboration across all levels of the organization.
  • Work as part of the solutions team to continue to deliver all of the services related to governance, project management and program management tools.
  • Lead projects in multiple functions of global HR, drive projects to successful completion.
  • Lead and participate in project selection, initiation, tracking, progress reporting and day to day execution.
  • Work with leaders across the organization to ensure consistency of project execution.
  • Assist with appropriate project selection/scoping/execution for teams.
  • Motivate project teams and facilitate project execution.
  • Manage projects through use of project management best practices to ensure customer, time, quality, and cost requirements are met.
  • Provide clear communication of the overall scope, timing, funding requirements, and resource analysis.
  • Clearly communicate overall deliverables to all team members and provide clear, frequent and effective communication to key stakeholders in a matrix environment.
  • Develop and manage an overall project plan that integrates key activities of functions associated with project lifecycle, and maintain project documentation.
  • Lead cross functional process improvement initiatives and continually explore new avenues for improving business process cycle times, lead times and the overall quality of output/service to internal and external customers.
  • Through collaboration with project team, identify project risks, including probability and impact, and develop mitigation and contingency plans to minimize risk impact throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements: 

MUST HAVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Experience as a IT Project Manager
  • Human Resources experience
  • Experience working on large scale complex, global projects
  • Experience leading projects in a virtual and global environment
  • Understanding of the dynamics of global and virtual work
  • Corporate/large company experience
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects
  • Experience managing a team and ability to drive a project to successful completion
  • Experience providing status updates and leading cross-functional and cross-site meetings, including virtual sessions
  • Experience working in a matrix organization
  • Working knowledge in the application of problem-solving / root-cause analysis methodologies
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Lean methodologies and Lean mentality
  • Ability to assist in the facilitation of Kaizen and Value Stream Mapping events
  • Ability to maintain rigor of process, and hold task owners accountable
  • Experience with project plans
  • Experience with MS Project or similar project management tools
