Job Description: 

Rasmussen College is seeking a Project Manager within the Product Management Team to manage the day-to-day execution of programmatic and academic projects and initiatives within the product management team and in conjunction and coordination with the Academic Affairs team. As Project Manager, this professional will oversee the successful delivery of large College product management projects and also manage medium-to-large college product projects, including product research and launch projects throughout the Stage Gate product lifecycle, curriculum and course design planning and execution, product and project launch and scheduling tasks associated with project planning, marketing and programmatic implementation. Projects will be managed from initial concept, requirements gathering, and through delivery and operational support transition. This position will interact with multiple departments, Schools and vertical teams in a university setting, as well as internal operational teams, to manage timelines and deliverables.

Reporting Relationship:

The Project Manager will report to the Product Management Director.

Responsibilities:
•Schedule and facilitate project kick-off, status, review, and debrief meetings
•Plan and schedule project deliverables, goals, and milestones for cross-functional teams
•Establish, maintain, and communicate timelines and schedules
•Oversee projects from initiation phase through to close
•Ensure that projects move through the process and are completed on time and within budget (when applicable)
•Communicate with project team members, stakeholders, and subject matter experts, including management of expectations for project success
•Ensure that project deliverables receive the proper routing and approvals, including Leadership and Compliance
•Demonstrate leadership in defining and managing project risks, escalating issues as necessary
•Provide internal stakeholder communication and progress reports that effectively outline project status, risks, issues, and action plans to ensure project success
•Manage the project budget, including technology, contract and employee labor, and third-party costs

Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree
•3-5 years of successfully managing large projects required
•Attention to detail
•Strong understanding of project management methodologies for business application projects
•Strong oral and written communication skills with proven ability to interact professionally with team members, stakeholders, and third parties
•Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
•Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks at one time
•Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines

Desired Skills/Experience:
•2-3 years of broad higher education knowledge, including general understanding of academically driven projects and initiatives.
•PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
•Experience managing projects for universities; Learning Management System (LMS) experience
•Competency in adapting to changing environments and ambiguous situations
•Ability to act independently with little direction
