Job Description: 

Our client is looking for a Project Manager to manage lighting retrofit projects throughout the entire project life cycle including project planning, initiation, execution and closure. In this role, you will ensure customers have the best overall level of service to achieve the established goals associated with the scope of work for each project.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for managing lighting retrofit projects throughout the entire project life cycle including project planning, initiation, execution and closure.
  • Ensure customers have the best overall level of service to achieve the established goals associated with the scope of work for each project.
  • Responsible for the management of the project profitability.
  • Manage overall project accountability.
  • Coordinate effective project handoff from Solutions Manager.
  • Plan, manage and report on projects.
  • Gain proficiency in Oracle and create Oracle project setup.
  • Communicate issues and corrective action reporting to customer.
  • Monitor financials for the entire project.
  • Negotiate labor pricing and site assignments (interim).
  • Manage Labor Partners. Review, approve and complete, project documentation.
  • Close-out projects.
  • Leverage project management tools; update data and leveraging analytics.
  • Track Project go-backs to ensure timely and effective completion and go-back reduction.
  • Collaborate with Service Coordinators on go-backs.
  • Drive internal and external communication on overall project management progress for assigned projects.
  • Support customers and partners during “off hours” and be available for support on some weekends and evenings/nights.
Requirements: 

MUST HAVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Strong Project Management experience
  • Project Management experience for high volume and multi-unit project situations
  • Experience bidding and managing labor partners
  • Experience presenting larger scale proposals and project plans to customers
  • Experience with high volume and multi-unit project situations
  • Skilled in Excel used for tracking and analysis
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to travel up to 40%

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Lighting, Electrical, and LED technical knowledge
  • Experience with lighting project management (industrial, commercial, retail etc.
  • Retail Operations Experience
  • Selfstarter with the drive to learn and the ability to take on new challenges
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work both independently and on a team
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, effectively prioritize and meet deadlines and hold others accountable for deliverables
  • Financial management aptitude
  • Client/customer focused
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage workloads, internal teams and the clients
