Program Description:

Topic: “Avoid the Van Helsing Stake-holder Methodology”

As you know, Van Helsing took one (highly adversarial) approach to dealing with Count Dracula. On top of that, he just winged it. Unlike dealing with the undead, stakeholder attitudes and expectations will likely change over the course of the project. That means the project manager needs to constantly adjust their stakeholder strategy to meet key stakeholder needs and satisfaction. Yet it is also important to have a defined plan for communications and expectation management. Shanna will talk about who project stakeholders are, how to identify them, and techniques for stakeholder management strategy, including stakeholder mapping, analysis, and engagement assessments. In addition, the presentation considers some of the interpersonal skills needed for successful stakeholder management.
