Message from the President

Hello and welcome to 2019, PMI-MN Chapter!
 
As we begin a new year, we also begin with a new Chapter Board of Leaders. Before we move into sharing our 2019 Chapter plans, let’s first reflect on and thank Mohamed Diab, our 2018 Chapter President, for his stellar leadership.
 
Mohamed led our Board & Chapter efforts to identify and flesh out key strategies that will propel our Chapter into further successes. He continued to build on what many of our previous leaders have put in motion for the betterment of the Chapter.
 
Mohamed was instrumental in promoting committee collaboration and streamlining efficiencies throughout our Chapter. As project managers, we appreciate the collaboration and increases in efficiency.
 
I would also like to thank him for setting up the 2019 Chapter Board for success. Thank you, Mohamed Diab—we appreciate you and your leadership! And thank you to all of our previous leaders for setting us up for continued success.
 
Let’s get back to the basics. Why are we a Chapter? I would love to hear from our members and learn about their expectations.
 
Being a volunteer for PMI-MN, whether you are part of the Board or a committee, is a privilege. With that comes responsibility and duty. As the 13th largest Chapter in PMI (out of 300+), many other Chapters look to us and aspire to emulate us. Each and every volunteer has a duty to be professional, ethical, respectful, and to hold a high level of integrity.
 
Being a Chapter volunteer is also fun, engaging, and an excellent way to forge long-term relationships and hone your already great skills. Please join us as a volunteer as it is important for our growth and success. We also want to embrace diversity and inclusivity. We value your input and welcome you with open arms as a Chapter volunteer!

New Members for the Month of November

New PMP® Certifications for the Month of November

Please Join Us at the President's Gala!

This year we will be hosting the President’s Gala in appreciation for all of your hard work as PMI-Minnesota Chapter volunteers. Come celebrate and dress up as Vikings or pirates for this year’s theme—whether it may be as a swashbuckling pirate, a true Scandinavian seafaring Viking, or a fan of the Minnesota Vikings. Interpretations are up to you to decide as to which type of Viking or pirate you would like to be.

There will be food, entertainment, and companies to enjoy! We also encourage you to bring a guest to the party. This year’s celebration will be located at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, January 19th, 2019 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The deadline to register is Wednesday, January 16th.
