Message from the President
Dear Members,
We are half way through the year - July! The days are long and full of pleasant distractions such as picnics, sports, gardens, and the like. There is always work, but sometimes mixed with pleasure; working outside, getting together with friends and colleagues.
Your Chapter knows we all need a chance to escape. We've added additional fun and family into our chapter events. Each year we sponsor multiple social events, not centered on earning PDUs. This summer and fall you can socialize and relax at four (4) free events with food and beverages provided! And we added in an educational event just for young adults!
In July members, family and friends can give back through our chapter sponsored Paint-A-Thon. We provide all the materials; you bring a willingness to help neighbors in need.
Also in July, we offer a project management program for kids. If you have been looking for a way to explain to kids what you do or want your kids to learn about our profession, here is your chance! This is a joint Youth Outreach program of your Chapter (PMI-MN), the Project Management Institute Education Foundation (PMIEF), and the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Northern Star Council. The program is open to all Twin Cities Metro youth ages 13 to 20 from youth leadership groups, student councils, 4H, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, middle schoolers, high schoolers, community college or university students.
August brings our newest social outings, the Saints Baseball game, and the Minnehaha Falls picnic. Invited are all members, volunteers, their families, and friends. Have fun and food at our great parks, full of scenic wonder. Share a baseball game in St. Paul, “the Great American Past-time,” play some games or bike around the "Grand Rounds" a national treasure in connected park design throughout Minneapolis.
This year we will also present our 2nd Annual PMI-MN PDD Speaker Reception in downtown St Paul. Our world class PDD program team will host a casual meet-and-greet event for to get up close with top presenters and educators. Please, stop in after work or after class as we seek out the best in the country, if not the world. The Chapter will provide appetizers, a cash bar is available, you bring the conversation.
Have a great PMI-MN summer!
Chris Doyle

Katy made this event extremely easy for me. I want to show my appreciation for a job extremely well done! Congratulations, Katy!
2017 PDD Sponsorship
Hello, Fellow PMI-MN Chapter Members. We need your assistance!
The Sponsorship Committee is in full planning for our September 25-28 Professional Development Days. We want your company to Sponsor a piece of the event, it could be a Track or a Speaker or a Booth, or all, there are options.
Sponsors’ support and participation contribute significantly to the success of our event. Please remember why we host this amazing event, the Educational Tracks help certified project management professionals to maintain their status. We would appreciate your help by asking your manager about the company’s interest in engaging with Project Management Professionals & Project Management Offices at the BIGGEST regional event of the year by being a Sponsor.
