Program Description:

Good listening skills can lead to better customer satisfaction, greater productivity, and more creative and innovative work. Relationships improve, conflicts are resolved, and new worlds are imagined. But listening is not the same as hearing. Listening requires you to slow down and respond to what you hear, not to what you think you heard.

In this fun and interactive session, attendees will explore their own ability to listen effectively, react accordingly, and then expand on the result. Using mini lecture, individual and group exercises, improvisation, demonstration and discussion, Grosch will help you take a look at your listening obstacles, and will share some valuable techniques for improving.

Originally created for a group of theologians, independent writers, and academic thinkers at the Collegeville Institute at St John’s University, this non-stop session will challenge you to get out of your head, listen, and then react.

Special Instructions:

A buffet breakfast will be served.
