Program Description: 

Whether you’re new to giving speeches and presentations, or are a seasoned professional, this presentation will provide helpful insight on local resources and honing your skills. Get quick and easy tips for how to prepare and present an award, use visual aids and props, incorporate body language into your presentations, and more. With time and practice, you’re sure to see improvement in your ability to communicate and an increase in your confidence as well!

Speaker(s) Bios: 

By day Steve Compton is a mild mannered project manager and change manager with Hennepin County in Minneapolis. Steve is the speaker chairman for the annual PMI-MN PDD (Professional Development Days) training event which impacts hundreds of project managers. He teaches a couple large groups of children at his church as the storyteller. He is a PMP certified project manager and a certified scrum master and scrum product owner. Steve has also completed certification in change management as offered by Prosci. He has managed IT projects in many industries including data security, manufacturing, construction, medical, finance and government. Steve has been a Toastmaster for 5 years and has obtained the highest level of award (DTM) from the organization.
