Program Description:

Developed by reliability engineers to study malfunctions of military systems, an
FMEA is often the first step of a system reliability study. Failure Mode Effect
Analysis (FMEA), Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA) and Design
Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA) allows a team to review what could happen to a product, process or design during the stages of a project. This effort aids in recognizing risks and aids in discussion and planning in risk mitigation. We will take time to do an FMEA on a product and we will look at DFMEA that was used to complete a unique roof and building design on a house.
