Dean Boorman has gone above and beyond in his roles as head of the Sponsorship committee. Over the course of the last few years Dean in partnership with Joe Perzel redesigned and restructured a very critical piece of the PMI-MN Chapter, how it operates and how it impacts the organization as a whole. The following is an incomplete list of some of the things they have accomplished for PMI:
PMI-MN would like to thank Dean for his time and dedication. Congratulations Dean!!!
PMI-MN would like to thank Joe for his time and dedication. Congratulations Joe!!!
PMI-MN would like to thank Diane for her time and dedication.
Congratulations Diane!!!
Angela Johnson, Agile PrC Program Manager, has been an active PMI-MN member for over 8 years. She has been instrumental in creating and growing the Agile Practitioner Community. Since November 2010 it has been consistently one of the most well-attended monthly sessions. As facilitator of this Community, Angela has ensured a diverse set of thought-leaders who have increased our knowledge of Agile during a critical time of its adoption in our industry.
More importantly, Angela has collaborated with many Community members in facilitating each session -- even working with direct competitors of her company to ensure that the Community receives a well-rounded view of Agile.
PMI-MN would like to thank Angela for her time and dedication. Congratulations Angela!!!
He’s a busy gentleman who contributes to his community outside of PMI-MN, and we’re lucky that he is willing to share his talents with PMI-MN as a volunteer.
PMI-MN would like to thank Brian for his time and dedication. Congratulations Brian!!!
Jeanne Kating leads the New Member Orientation in the Plymouth dinner location. She is a fabulous volunteer! She’s cheerful, friendly and very welcoming as a leader. Jeanne takes pride and great care in the creation of materials for New Member Orientation and effectively delivers the information to folks who are new to PMI-MN or interested in learning more about PMI-MN. Her contributions to the Chapter are most appreciated.
PMI-MN would like to thank Jeanne for her time and dedication. Congratulations Jeanne!!!
Cindy Akyuz, Website Events Editor, has been an unsung hero and the cornerstone of our PMI-MN marketing and communications efforts for past four years.
In the summer of 2010, Cindy agreed to take on one of the most difficult and critical roles in the MarComm Website team: PMI-MN’s website postings of regular dinner, breakfast, and Outreach meetings; Practitioner Community and Career Networking sessions; seminars, webinars, and certification courses. In over three years, she has been instrumental in getting nearly 300 PMI-MN activities on the website so they could be promoted for sale and community participation.
Her persistence, dedication and skills in customer relations have been tremendous assets in working with our committee members and registration vendor. She made it possible for MarComm to achieve an average SLA level for event postings of 4 to 7 days. Her efforts also enabled us to reliably expand our marketing efforts to our members and to the professional community.
PMI-MN would like to thank Cindy for her time and dedication. Congratulations Cindy!!!
Mike Prinske, as Project Coordinator, was a driving force behind PMI-MN's annual Career Fair in April. His "Can do!" attitude and positive outlook were invaluable.
In true Project Management form, he anticipated potential stumbling blocks and creatively addressed solutions -- including taking duties from overloaded volunteers to meet and beat deadlines.
Mike's work benefited our Career Fair attendees, the participating vendors, and our profession as a whole. Great work, Mike, and congratulations!
Julian Johnson, Director of Professional Development, started volunteering just over a year ago, and spared no time before jumping into the deep end.
In his initial role as Program Manager for the Career Networking Group (CNG), he worked assiduously to recruit great speakers for CNG and ensured the event promotion process was duly followed.
Last fall he was appointed to the Board as Director of Professional Development for 2014 – a role he wholeheartedly embraces.
He spent countless transition hours with the former director, Kay Quinn, to ensure he understood the task at hand. Under his leadership for the first time PMP prep classes are scheduled for the full year – and the first offering in January was sold out.
PMI-MN would like to thank Julian for his time and dedication. Congratulations, Julian!!!
Denise Pech, has shown great leadership in taking on her new assignment as the Program Manager for the merger of the Partner program into the Sponsorship team.
She has been and is a valued member of the Sponsorship team. During her time with the team, she has taken on many unique and ‘under defined’ volunteer opportunities and come out on top.
Sponsorship team and PMI-MN would like to thank Denise for her time and dedication.
Congratulations Denise!!!
