Our Mission

PMI MN's mission is to provide value to members and the community through opportunities for career development and to advocate the advancement of the project management profession and its disciplines.

Our Charter

The PMI International Board awarded a chapter charter to PMI-MN in 1984. In line with PMI International's core processes, the chapter focuses on:

  • Developing a community of project managers
  • Advancing the profession of project management
  • Acting as an information distribution forum for project management
  • Facilitating education in project management

Community Service Programs

The Minnesota Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI MN®) is committed to "giving something back to the community" and backs up its commitment through its support for various Community Service Programs. These programs allow the chapter and its members to connect with the community and share their gifts with those less fortunate.

The Chapter That Cares Team, which consists of a group of service-minded chapter members, creates and manages a number of programs that support the community.

Our Leaders

The Minnesota Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI MN®) Board of Directors is the governing body of PMI MN. Officers are elected for one to three year terms by the Chapter membership.

Our Programs

PMI-MN accomplishes its vision through:

  • Monthly programs providing learning, sharing, and networking opportunities among project managers
  • Quarterly certification training programs providing a review of the PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) in preparation for the PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification Examination
  • Membership contact and communications through monthly newsletters, the chapter Web site, and team interaction
  • Maintaining financial responsibility required to run the chapter
  • PMI Minnesota 2021 Year In Review
