Program Description: 

Facts offer the "what?" Stories get at the "so what?" This session will be an interactive experience that explores story-based techniques for creative collaboration.

"There are no right answers to wrong questions," You will experience a variety of facilitation techniques and tools that incorporate stories into a key step in creative problem solving: defining the problem to solve. Join me to share stories while you learn techniques like:
-Crafting consumer empathy stories
-Story listening
-Campfire story circles
-"Best of" stories

Learning Objectives
Participants will use story-based activities to: 
1) Enhance creative collaboration
2) Deepen insights and build empathy,

Speaker(s) Bios: 

Jean Storlie designs and facilitates processes to help teams collaborate in solving strategic and innovation challenges. She infuses story-based techniques into the creative problem-solving process to deepen insights, create empathy, spark the flow of ideas, and pitch winning ideas. Jean has combined her education in nutrition and exercise science with her experience in marketing communications to created health communications for food, wellness, and healthcare companies—including 13 years at General Mills. Early in her career, Jean stumbled on storytelling as a way to inspire lifestyle change in her patients/clients. Later, as a corporate leader, she wove stories into coaching/mentoring her teams and communicating with executives. In 2012, Jean founded Storlietelling LLC—a turning point that sparked her journey into storytelling which transformed her consulting work and took her passion for stories to a new level. She also offers storytelling workshops that teach professionals how to create meaningful stories for their business communications and leadership.
