This presentation will introduce Lean Manufacturing concepts and provide an overview of tools/techniques that Tim has found useful in a manufacturing environment. Participants will gain insights regarding the seven wastes, four lean strategies, and eight tools including value stream mapping, visual factory, 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).

Tim is a Senior Member of ASQ and a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt. He has over 30 years’ experience as a process engineer in the defense and semiconductor industries and has been utilizing and teaching continuous improvement tools and techniques almost as long. Tim is currently a principal quality assurance engineer and site statistician at a semiconductor manufacturing facility.
