Program Description:

Behaving like a leader is important for everyone in the organization, no matter where they sit.  Project Managers are perfectly positioned to do more than manage--you fill a critical leadership role in project success. Learn when it’s important to step up as a leader, how and why.

  • Being a leader is very different than being the boss. To achieve your greatest career and personal success you need to lead from wherever you sit in the organization—this is especially true if you’re in the role of Project Manager or within a project delivery team.
  • Leadership is the ability to motivate a group of people toward a common goal. Project Managers need to do this all day long!
  • Those at the top shouldn't always lead. They need know when to step back and let others lead so they too can develop this needed skill.  This session will take us through traits, intentions, characteristics, and look into methods to drive change that can make you a great leader.
  • In this session you will learn some tools of the trade that are critical to your professional success.  We will touch on topics like: communication, facilitation, trust, motivation, empathy, change and transformation, managing conflict and stakeholders, and building teams.

Following this session you will be able to:

  • Discuss your leadership challenges and talk through solutions and techniques to apply in any situation.
  • Learn and practice essential frameworks for leadership.
  • Bring new energy and leadership perspective to your daily work.
