Program Description:

Think about some of the most effective leaders you’ve encountered in your career. Think about the qualities they exhibit. Were they graceful under pressure? Did they listen well and use that information to make prudent decisions? Did they present themselves as a confident, conscientious leader?

With a little self-reflection, you can recognize the qualities you exhibit to others. When you develop the skills to understand and regulate your emotions—as well as the people around you—that’s when you have a high degree of emotional intelligence.

The effective leaders you’ve encountered obviously made an impression on you. They effectively presented their personal brand. And like a business brand, you can craft an effective brand strategy to position yourself. The brand you present is what others use to evaluate you, and you can manage how you are perceived by others.
