Program Description

The concept of Healthcare Reform is often misunderstood or villainized. Yet, it is here and isn’t going away. But if we thought about it in terms of “transformation” then we could take an “appreciative” approach. This disruptive change is driving an unprecedented need for emerging innovations; new or improved systems, processes and technology; and people development. This session will provide a high-level understanding of how certain aspects of healthcare “reform” will drive “transformation” in care delivery, financial models, and work roles – from a health IT perspective. You will learn relevant “hybrid” skills that can expand your career opportunities in healthcare and learn about free (yes, I said free) health IT training available to you in partnership with the ONC (Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT) and Johns Hopkins University.

* PMI Talent Triangle: Strategic & business management
* PMBOK Areas Covered: Cost, Quality, Human Resources, Communications
* Relevant Healthcare Industries: Provider, Payer, Healthcare Administration, Manufacturing, Education, Research, Technology, Governance, Regulatory, Pharmacy, Allied Health, Public, Community Health
