In modern day project management, methodologies like waterfall, agile, A3, lean, and many others are practiced in different fields and industries. What is the trend of project management practices used in the healthcare industries? The panelists will share with the audience their experiences in their professional journey in environments of healthcare delivery, payers, and health information technology, and their visions of the project management best practices trend in the healthcare world.

Deirdre Ryan has 15 years of client and consulting-side experience in product and service organizations ranging from early stage to Fortune 100 companies across retail, technology and healthcare industries. Greg Borge provides successful integration and implementation of EHR systems including the STEM-oriented Medicaid Meaningful Use and Medicare MACRA Quality Payment Programs. Greg has a BS in Computer Science, a PMP, and previous experience in completion of federal multi-year software projects, all of which contributes to profitable attestations for healthcare clinicians. Jeff Barsness works as a consultant in program/project delivery, most recently in the healthcare industry at insurance and pharmacy benefits management companies. He has led and consulted on several organizational transitions to new delivery methodologies, and managed organizational change efforts. Manish Kalra is a performance oriented IT Leader with exceptional skills in formulating technology and process initiatives, leading all aspects of a project implementation using PMI guidelines, to deliver best outcomes. He leads the teams by using accountability, self-motivation and customer experience as guiding principles. Currently working as Sr Project Manager at HealthPartners; Chair of Professional Development in PMI-MN (Volunteer); and in Board of Directors of One Heartland. Shari Lensing is a seasoned leadership Consultant with over fifteen years of Healthcare experience. She specializes in driving implementations of Healthcare software and has worked in Payer, Provider, and Pharmacy Benefit Management organizations. Recent engagements include leading transition to ICD-10; collaborating on a Clinical Reporting initiative and Agile methodology; leading the first implementations of new EHR immunization registry reporting system. Stan Wiebe held various roles in health care organizations including programmer, manager, director, CIO and PM. The organizations included what is now Sanford Health in Fargo, Hennepin County Medical Center, McKesson, Dean Health in Madison, Gillette Children’s in St. Paul. Implementation project manager for Healthland, Interim CIO at Regional West in Scottsbluff NE. Currently interim PM at Fairview.
