Program Description

Change management skills are critical for effective implementation of new programs. The Architect is someone who designs, builds, and leads a structure to completion. The same concepts are true in managing change. There is no time where Architects take their eye off the project, even though many others are doing the work. We cover the following elements of Change.

  1. Architects are involved with the Foundation of change rationale, ensuring due diligence without procrastination, deliberately planning for executive leadership communications, and carefully defining metrics to ensure the change did what it was intended to do.
  2. Architects are involved with Launching the Change by ensuring the best team is in place, knowing the difference between a change leader and a project manager, preparing for consistent, intentional and regular communications, and ensuring there is a feedback loop to prevent a change from going off course.
  3. Architects provide Day-to-Day Support of the Change to ensure the change takes hold in the organization, including a clear understanding of the conflicts and resistance that may take place, and the ‘changes within a change’ that occur when a project is launched.
  4. Most importantly, Architects learn the critical need to stay with the change until the capstone is put in place, ensuring the change is Finished
