What you need to do to join the PMI MN Chapter
To join the PMI MN Chapter, you must do three things in the following order:
Step 1: Set up a free on-line account with PMI Global
Step 2: Register to be a member with PMI Global ($139 annually)
Step 3: Register to be a member of PMI MN Chapter ($35 annually with some exceptions – see below)
Privileges of a PMI MN member
Your PMI MN Chapter member privileges are similar to PMI Global privileges but at the Chapter level. It includes:
- Monthly virtual/in-person breakfast and dinner meetings

- Discounted fees for Chapter events including our annual PMI MN Professional Development Days (PDD) conference
- Free career networking group opportunities with PMI Minnesota’s over 3000 members
- Many volunteer opportunities – your chance to get involved
- Participating in the Mentorship Program
PMI Global and PMI MN Fees
Depending on your situation, there are different memberships to choose from that only differ in fee structure (membership privileges and accessibility are the same).

Individual: Any person who is not eligible for the student, retiree or military discounts.
Student: To be eligible for a student discount, a student must be in a degree-granting program at an accredited college or university.
Retiree: Must be a PMI member in good standing for five consecutive years and retired from active employment to be eligible for the retiree discount.
Military: *As a current or a past member of a military service organization or a spouse of a current or past member, PMI MN waives its first year Chapter fee of $35. To request this fee waiver, please email the PMI MN Chapter at [email protected] or call PMI MN Chapter at 651-917-6246.
