Biography

I am presently Program Manager at Surescripts and owner of JPerzel, Inc.  I have over 25 years of project, program and staff leadership experience in private and public organizations.

I have been on the Board as Director at Large for the past 2 years.  Previously I was Chair of the Sponsorship and Partners committee for the 6 years, steadily growing the dedicated team of volunteers and annual income each year.  In addition, I have assisted with PDD as Volunteer Chair and Vendor Booth sales. 

As a proud member of our chapter I regularly attend the monthly meetings, participate in the volunteer and career fairs and attend our Professional Development Days. I enjoy the meetings and think that PMI-MN offers a great set of venues for learning and networking with our peers.

In addition, over the past several years I have been delighted to be the featured speaker at several monthly meetings, held all-day workshop/seminars, spoke for Career Networking Group and presented at several PDDs for our chapter and other North American chapters.

Vision

My vision is to build on what I have learned over the past 2 years on the Board, continue to grow the chapter, seeing that we continue to provide valuable resources, forums and learning opportunities for our members.   I will utilize my past experience with our wonderful chapter and as past president, treasurer and secretary for several other professional associations including Association of Systems Management and Twin City Oracle Users Group.

Leadership

My approach to leadership is to:

1.     Communicate effectively with all areas of the organization and our partners

2.     Provide a clear strategic vision, with a tactical approach

3.     Allow our team of volunteers to grow into their roles, giving them whatever tools they need to be successful

4.     Nurture an environment where everyone has fun and grows professionally
