-- PDD is closed for 2018.  Stay tuned for news of 2019 --

Below is what we offered in 2018

... and plan to offer our professional community the best of next year!

Here's an opportunity to join your peers from companies throughout the Upper Midwest -- in one place!  Professional Development Days is PMI-MN’s signature four-day conference for project professionals. It’s the largest gathering of project professionals and learning offered by PMI-MN each year to help boost your skills and to network with others in the business.  Our Chapter volunteers pull together the resources and expertise to execute our most important project:  Professional Development Days (PDD).  And in 2018 you can join us in celebrating 25 years of continuous PDD excellence and innovation with our attendees. The action for this spectacular event is happening between [September 23-26, 2019] at the Saint Paul RiverCentre in St. Paul, MN.

Here’s your chance to pick what learning style works best for you and for your schedule.  Find out what’s going on in our profession, polish up on your career skills, meet up with your peers, and collect PDUs.

Over the first three days, Education Days is offers 26 classes in half-day, one-day, and two-day lengths covering topics as diverse as emotional intelligence, team cohesion, culture change, Kanban, accountable leadership, risk, innovation, and the list goes on.  A three day PMI-PMP® certification prep bootcamp awards attendees 24 education hours and the dedicated time to dive into the learning needed to successfully pass the exam and earn certification. And this year we’ve continued with our new practice of providing endnote speakers at the end of the day to challenge your thinking!

Our Symposium Day is a buffet of 24 one-hour sessions where you can mix and match from six tracks on Leadership, Strategy, Technical Skills, Change, Applied PM, and Agile. Do you need to know more about leveraging change or making generational differences work? Or are you curious about servant leadership and organizational project management? Or is it portfolio dashboards, storytelling, and Scrum vs. Kanban that intrigue you? These are just a few of the topics from which you can choose.

PDD offers the professionals attending our event:

  • Practical techniques for effective project management
  • Skills for adapting today's teams for the changing business landscape
  • PMP® Certification Exam Preparation boot camp
  • Networking with peers -- strengthen existing relationships and create new opportunities
  • Options from over 150 PDUs to maintain certifications within the PMI Talent Triangle

Take a breather from your daily practice: Join us on a sure thing in helping to improve it.  And where else can you spend four days meeting peers, sharing your experiences, and networking with others who understand the challenges and rewards of working with teams and project work!
