Program Description

Microsoft Project Online & Power BI Analytics

Power BI is a self-service data visualization tool that allows you to create and share insight across an organization. Microsoft Project Online is a flexible online solution for project portfolio management (PPM) and everyday work. Project Online enables organizations to get started, prioritize project portfolio investments and deliver the intended business value. The Project Online content pack for Power BI allows you to unlock insight from Project Online to help manage projects, portfolios and resources.

This presentation will show participants how to leverage the Power BI content pack for Project Online, and how to incorporate the Microsoft Project Management application into Power BI to analyze projects and make strategic decisions based on live project data.

Speaker(s) Bios

DeNisha fell in love with data modeling and management while tutoring T-SQL Querying in college. She self-taught herself Power BI's functionalities after a Business Intelligence internship in fall of 2015 - and has been sticking with the development of Microsoft's BI suite ever since; growing tremendously as the application spreads through enterprises.

DeNisha has been working as a Business Intelligence Consultant for almost 3 years, now. She graduated in 2017, but started her career while still studying as an undergraduate. She is a Microsoft BI Suite subject matter expert, and often travels to assist enterprises in developing strategic plans to automate and administer their BI environment. Her primary responsibility in her current role is the Administration and Support of Power BI Premium in enterprises across America.

Outside of BI, DeNisha's hobbies include mentoring and working with non-profits to enhance IT in the minority communities.
