Program Description: 

An inspiring panel of women from Minneapolis get together to share their stories about the road less traveled, and how they have navigated their career journeys to achieve great things, both professionally and personally. 

This will be a hosted interactive panel event that focuses energizes and inspires all members, both male and female. 

Back by popular demand, we are going back to the very cool Day Block brewery in Minneapolis.  You’ll be surrounded by 100 like-minded project professionals who want to connect and learn with you.  The four-member panel will be on stage at the end of the room with the conversation guided by the MC.

The event starts at 6 pm with 45 minutes connection time for members, this is an opportunity for members to introduce themselves to fellow members and enhance their professional network.  At 6:45 candidates running for the PMI Minnesota Chapter Board get the mic for 2 or 3 minutes, and have an opportunity to tell members why they want to get involved and be on the Chapter Board. 

The "Great Women” panel starts at 7:00, with conversation continuing to 8:00 with question time afterwards.

Attendance is strictly limited to 100 tickets due to the venue (no walk-in), we anticipate this selling fast so please purchase your ticket right away to avoid disappointment.

The ticket price includes really good food too (buffet style).

Jennifer Bratton

Jennifer Bratton, Managing Director & Senior Partner at Boston Consulting Group Minneapolis. Jennifer is a core member of Boston Consulting Group’s Operations and People & Organization practices. She is the office lead for the firm’s Minneapolis office and also the global people leader for the Operations practice. She is a core member of BCG's family business interest group. Jen is also the global Ombudsperson at the firm, part of a team providing a trusted and objective channel for staff to raise concerns.

Since joining BCG in 2002, Jen has acquired deep knowledge and experience advising clients across a number of industries, including consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, medtech, industrial goods, and retail.

Jen cares about ensuring successful transformation for her clients—getting to know how they think and what matters to them, and developing customized operations solutions that fit the client culture and are practical to the business question at hand.

Jill K. Rasmussen

Jill Rasmussen, Principal at Davis. Jill is an award-winning healthcare real estate leader with over 3 decades of industry experience both nationally and within the Twin Cities.   As a Principal at Davis, she is widely recognised in the healthcare real estate community for her ability to provide innovative solutions, and sound real estate strategies for her clients.  Some of Jill’s awards include, 2018 Women in Business Honoree by The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, 2017 Women of Influence by Real Estate Forum, and 2015 Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame by Midwest Real Estate News.

Jill joined Davis as a partner in 2009. Previously, she has held positions with Thorpe Brothers, CBRE, and, most recently, as the Director of the Office and Healthcare Group for Grubb & Ellis/Northco and as Senior Director at Cushman & Wakefield.

Jill has a B.A. degree in liberal arts from the University of Minnesota; and an active member of numerous professional real estate organizations including a national board member, as well as the past president of both the Minnesota Chapter of the CCIM Institute and the Society of Industrial & Office REALTORS®. She is a member of MNCAR, MMGMA, NAIOP, and MNCREW.

 

Heather Whelpley
Heather Whelpley

Heather Whelpley is an entrepreneur, speaker, coach, and writer. She has facilitated workshops on imposter syndrome with hundreds of people from Fortune 500 companies, universities, and non-profits as well as business owners. As a coach, she guides high achieving women to stop the hustle and reclaim their life.

Prior to owning her business, she worked in human resources for ten years at Cargill and Ameriprise in a wide variety of roles, including leadership development, change management, and HR business partnering. Heather has extensive global experience, including working in Australia and Latin America. She has a master’s degree in Human Resource Development from the University of Minnesota and is a graduate of the Coaches Training Institute. Heather is currently writing her first book on how high achieving women can learn to let go of expectations and create their own rules for life. In her free time, you can find Heather hiking, biking, and skiing around the Twin Cities, visiting farmers markets and breweries, and serving on the board of HandsOn Twin Cities.

Tanya Velishek
Tanya Velishek

Tanya Velishek Manager of Academic Clinical Placement at Fairview Health Services, and Mayor of Jordan, Minnesota. Tanya Velishek holds a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner degree and license from the University of St. Catherine, and a Master's of science degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix. She has a Bachelor's degree in nursing and a P.H.N. degree from the University of St. Catherine, and a School Nursing License from the University of Minnesota. Ms. Velishek works as the Manager of Academic Clinical Coordination within Talent Acquisition at Corporate Fairview Health Services and is an advanced practice provider at the University Pediatric primary care clinic.  She represents Fairview on the Clinical Coordination Partnership (TCCP) Committee with Minnesota Health Force and the promotion of Health professional employment within Minnesota.

Ms. Velishek has worked as a professor and adjunct faculty member at the Minnesota School of Business Pre-licensure Nursing Program and Minnesota State University Mankato Pre-licensure Nursing Program where she has focused on public and community health, global health, maternal and newborn care. She is the chair of the Minnesota State Summer Nurse Intern Consortium and conversion of nursing students into the healthcare profession. Ms. Velishek was elected Mayor by the City of Jordan in the end of 2016. She has served 2 terms as city council women and now 4 year term as Mayor. In 2018 Mayor Velishek was elected Chair of Scott County Association for Leadership & Efficiency (SCALE), a joint powers organization comprised of 7 cities, Scott County, and numerous townships collaboratively organized to most efficiently deliver public services. She is the executive director of the Jordan Area Food Shelf. Ms. Velishek was named the International Nurse for Minneapolis in 2017 after 29 years of Medical Mission work in Peru. She was named the 2018 MN Women and Leadership in the state of Minnesota.

Ms. Velishek participated in multiple committees and continues to support them as her committee appointments have changed within her mayoral role. She participated in the Parent Association for St. John the Baptist School and ECFE parental committee. She belongs to community organizations such as Jordan Area Chamber of Commerce and Jordan Commercial Club business committee where she held the president seat in 2013. Ms. Velishek was named the Outstanding Young Jordanite for the year 2016 by the Jordan Distinguished Service Award Committee.  As a city representative she was the acting mayor for 2 terms, currently on City/School Joint Committee, Community Education Joint Powers Committee, Economic Development Authority (EDA), SCALE, CAP agency Board Member, 169 Coalition, Mayor Association, Jordan Coalition Committee and the Spanish Community Committee liaison.
