PMI-MN Opportunity for Project Professionals

Register today!

2017 PDD is the biggest gathering of project management professionals and learning in one place in the Midwest for four days.  Each year, PMI-MN’s volunteer     members pull together our Chapter’s resources and expertise to execute our largest project:  Professional Development Days (PDD), our four-day conference.  In 2017 this spectacular event is being held between Sept 25-28 at the Saint Paul RiverCentre in St. Paul, MN,

Here’s your chance to pick what learning style works best for you and for your schedule.  Find out what’s going on in our profession, polish up on your career skills, meet up with your peers, and collect PDUs.

Over the first three days (Sept 25-27), Education Days offers 28 classes in half-day, one-day, and two-day lengths covering topics as diverse as emotional intelligence, team cohesion, culture change, Kanban, accountable leadership, risk, innovation, and the list goes on.  A three day PMI-PMP® certification prep bootcamp awards attendees 24 education hours and the dedicated time to dive into the learning needed to successfully pass the exam and earn certification. And this year we’ve endnote speakers at the end of the day to challenge your thinking.

Symposium Day (Sept 28) is a buffet of 24 one-hour sessions where you can mix and match from six tracks on Leadership, Strategy, Technical Skills, Change, Applied PM, and Agile with an extra on Team Building.   Do you need to know more about change management, improve your meeting skills, collaborative leadership, overcoming stakeholder resistance, smart Agile metrics, or strategic thinking?  These are just a few of the topics from which you can choose. Our keynote for the day is David Horsager who is presenting on the importance of trust and, as the endnote, Garry Golden plans to tap into your inner futurist.

PDD courses identify and support the PM recertification requirements from the PMI Talent Triangle up to Advanced Agile courses requiring previous agile experience.

Take a breather from your daily practice: Join us on a sure thing in helping to improve it.  And where else can you spend four days meeting peers, sharing your experiences, and networking with others who understand the challenges and rewards of working with teams and project work!
