Program Description: 

A Joint Outreach Youth Program from BSA Northern Star Council (NSC) and the Minnesota Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI)

WHO
• All Twin Cities Metro youth ages 13 to 20.
• Youth leadership groups, student councils, 4H, girl scouts, boy scouts.
• Middle schools, high schools, colleges & universities students

WHY
• “Everything in life is a project. Learning project management skills early will greatly benefit one for life.”
• Fundamentals class includes NOCTI Digital Badge assessment. Digital Badge is a great credential for building your resumes for college and job applications.
• Satisfies Project Management requirements for BSA Venturing Pathfinder Award.

WHAT
• Two levels of courses, Introduction and Fundamentals, in alternating calendar quarters.
• No prerequisite. Fundamentals has the Digital Badge component, and is more in depth than Introduction.
• Resources from the PMI Education Foundation

WHEN
• Fundamentals with Digital Badge: Jan 20, 24 & 27, 2018 (8 hrs. total)
• Introduction: April 21, 2018 (2-hour session)
• Fundamentals with Digital Badge: Jul 21, 25 & 28, 2018 (8 hrs. total) [Tentative]
• Introduction: Oct 20, 2018 (2-hour session) [Tentative]
• Arrive 20 minutes early to check in.

HOW
Jan 2018 session:
• Online registration through St. Paul Community College
• RSVP with Eric Sit.  Minimum four registered participants to start the class. Registration Fee: $25. On-campus parking at SPCC included.
