Message from the President

Dear Members,

Last week I was fortunate enough to represent our Chapter at the PMI® Leadership Institute Meeting in Los Angeles, CA along with fellow members on the PMI Minnesota Board of Directors.  It’s always great to share our Chapter’s success stories with the leadership of other chapters as well as listening to what has worked for them. We had the opportunity to network and learn alongside fellow project management leaders within the United States and from around the globe.  We were able to take advantage of exhibits where PMI volunteers were on hand to share and discuss various tools and resources to help us continue to grow as a chapter.

The Minnesota Chapter has had a great year leading up to and including our recent conference, Professional Development Days (PDD).  This years’ conference was full of inspiration from a wide variety of learning opportunities including well-recognized keynote and endnote speakers.  The efforts put forth in order for this event to occur is immeasurable and something we are proud of and grateful for within the PMI Minnesota Chapter.

In addition to a very successful PDD conference, our Outreach Team has led the way for expanding our chapter services outside of the Twin Cities and into North Dakota, providing members and non-members in the project management field with the opportunity to learn and earn PDU’s without lengthy travel.  The Military Outreach program is another area where our chapter has proven growth by encouraging veterans to take advantage of opportunities in our field.

Progression remains true with our Chapter in many ways and I am delighted to be a part of it all. I continue to be amazed by all of the wonderful ideas and dedication that come from our members and the perseverance of you all seeing them to fruition.  Please remember to check out our events calendar and feel free to seek me out and introduce yourself.
