» Spotlight on the October Volunteer of the Month » Volunteer Opportunities Letter from the PresidentDear Members,
It is hard to believe 2015 is coming to an end. As I reflect on some of the many accomplishments I want to thank the 2015 Board and Operations Committee for all their time and talents.
This year we had another successful PDD with changes to include: 2 MPR radio ads, new tracks for Construction, Change Management, Communication and PMO. The Programs team brought in national speakers Joe Justice and Skip Weisman, to name a few.
One of our strategic initiatives was to enhance our Volunteer Services. The project team migrated our volunteer postings to the global Volunteer Relationship Management System, taking advantage of the features and functions of the Membership repository. Additionally, the team created four volunteer training videos. They enhanced this team, which will continue to develop through 2016. This group will be supported by the new Director of Governance role, one of the board changes made this year.
The Minnesota weather gave the Outreach team the opportunity to try remote streaming of a speaker. This event was a positive experience and an event was planned by the Northeast (Duluth/Superior) and Central (St. Cloud) locations to offer an interactive event for a panel discussion. Again, offering you the members education along with our web streaming of monthly meetings.
Wishing you a Happy Holiday and Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year. Watch the updated website for new and exciting events in 2016.
Suzanne Schanno, PMP Greg Stignani has been a member of the sponsorship committee for over a year now. During that time, he stepped up and took over the role of Partners Coordinator and has done an excellent job setting up the Partner of the Quarter Program. He has been a consistent and a valuable contributor to our committee and we feel lucky to have him aboard. Greg has helped in running other areas of PMI-MN as well. Greg has stepped so willingly that deserves to be recognized. PMI-MN would like to thank Greg for his time and dedication. Congratulations Greg!!!
