Program Description: 

A unique live interactive event in curated in partnership with the popular innovation podcaster, Kurt Schmidt from the Schmidt List.

Picture this…you’re in a very cool brewery in Minneapolis surrounded by 100 like-minded project professionals.  There’s a stage at the end of the room where you can see 4 people, one of them is a popular innovation podcaster host and the other three make up a panel of subject matter experts in fields such as system development, people and project portfolio management.

The whole event is being recorded as a live podcast and the focus of the panel conversation is all about “Energizing Dreams and Teams”. 

The event starts at 6 pm with one hour connection time for members, this is an opportunity for members to introduce themselves to fellow members and enhance their professional connections.  The podcast recording will start at 7:15 pm and will last for an hour with opportunities for the audience to get involved with questions.  

This unique event will be educational, interactive and fun for members.  Attendance is strictly limited to 100 tickets due to the venue (no walk-in), so please purchase your ticket right away to avoid disappointment.

Kurt Schmidt

A former professional cyclist, host of The Schmidt List Podcast, and President at Foundry, Kurt's presentations focus on bridging management, design, and technology to illustrate how in today's world companies wishing to become more “agile”, traditional management techniques no longer apply.

With 15 years of public speaking experience, Kurt has developed a uniquely personable style and uses insight, humor, and data to foster to deliver a positive message for leaders with topics such as “Lateral Leadership” and “Growth Mindset”.

 

 

Craig Kilford

Craig is Founder and CEO of Course Conductor, an independent training review and analytics firm that helps companies make quicker, smarter training investment decisions. He co-authored the world’s most widely adopted project portfolio management standard (Management of Portfolios); and has consulted to governments and companies in finance, healthcare, emergency services, telecoms, international trade, national statistics, gaming and biotechnology for 18 years.

His inspiring presentations and keynotes focus on bridging organizational energy, leadership, and project portfolio management with agility, team work, creative thinking and authentic story telling to illustrate how companies can successfully transform.

As a modern day polymath.  Craig has painted live music on stage during the performances of some of the greatest musicians of our time including Buena Vista Social Club, Iggy and the Stooges, Black Eyed Peas, Brian Eno, Deep Purple and many more.  Craig also created the concept of Happy Street Signs and has collaborated with the Mayor of Newark to help increase feelings of well-being across the city.  The project was featured nationally by Time.com, CBS Saturday Morning, NPR and BBC World Service. 

 

Laura Beeth: Vice President Talent Acquisition, Fairview Health Services.

Laura Beeth is an award-winning leader with 25+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Workforce Development at Fairview Health Services.

Laura is currently serving on the White House Healthcare Career Pathway Taskforce.  She is chair of the Governor’s Workforce Development Board, the state chair of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Healthcare Education-Industry Partnership Council; and Vice Chair of the National Governor’s Association of State Workforce Board Chairs. 

Some of Laura’s state and national honors include the Health Care Workforce Champion “Individual Leader Award” from the Minnesota Hospital Association, Minnesota Vision Award for Workforce Development,  Chamber of Commerce Community Spirit Award, Minnesota Vision Workforce Development Award, State Healthcare Promotion Award (four times), State Community Health Award, Community College Individual Partner of the Year and State Health Care Workforce Champion Award for an Individual and for an Organization.

 

Brent Getlin: Director of Product Development for Adobe Fonts and Type

Brent Getlin is the Director of Product Development for Adobe Fonts and Type, a globally distributed software development team focused on bringing typography services and solutions to millions of Adobe Creative Cloud users.  He has spent 16 of the last 21 years working remotely, where he has individually contributed to and led a number of successful product development teams, and a number of unsuccessful ones.  Brent raced sailboats in college, was a volunteer fire fighter for 3 years, and feels a great sense of accomplishment in finding a meal both his kids want to eat for dinner.
