The PMI MN Chapter is honored to present Eric Sit as our August 2022 Volunteer of the Month. 
Eric serves as Program Manager for the Professional Development Committee. He has taken on the responsibility of developing our Project Management Skills for Life (PMSFL) program. PMSFL has become a main source of outreach for our chapter, creating awareness of PMI-MN’s mission and helping to recruit future project managers. Eric’s successes include creating both a two-hour basics course and a six-hour foundations course. The shorter course offers an overview of project management, and the longer course allows participants to conduct a mini project, to reinforce basic project management concepts.
Eric has developed the presentations for each course and recruited, then trained, a number of instructors capable of teaching each class. Eric has also partnered with the Boy Scouts of America to create a customized program that has been successfully presented to many scouts. Eric’s efforts allowed our chapter to gain other partnerships with organizations such as Lifetime Fitness, Leadership Garden, and Bethel University. Our chapter has been able to secure a Gold level sponsorship for PMI-MN thanks to PMSFL, along with creating substantial outreach by exposing hundreds to the potential benefits of belonging to PMI-MN. Eric's dedication to the PMSFL program is admirable and his hard work deserves recognition.

The PMI MN Chapter is honored to present Rebecca Gudknecht as our July 2022 Volunteer of the Month. 
Rebecca from the Volunteer Services Committee was nominated and selected for her exceptional work on coordinating the St. Paul Saints Volunteer activity hosted July 2022. Initiated by Past-President, Ruth Birkholz, Rebecca took the reins of the planning, coordination and execution of the event from the committee volunteer perspective and worked with the Saints Vendor contact to obtain all logistics information to communicate to attendees, and worked with TriMax to ensure all event information and registration postings were made available to the organization timely. Great work on behalf of the PMI MN volunteers to recognize and celebrate everyone’s efforts! Thank you!

The PMI MN Chapter is honored to present Jennifer Cary as our March 2022 Volunteer of the Month. 
Jen has been amazing in planning, coordinating, getting ready to execute our first annual Presidents Volunteer Gala that we have been able to have in 2+ years! She has collaborated with the PMI MN Volunteer Committee and the 2021 and 2020 Past Presidents to figure out a night of fun for all the 2021 and 2020 volunteers, and we have a record 60+ volunteers registered to attend. Jen has done an awesome job with communication, tracking open items needed, follow up and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. It is great to know that someone is helping the team to ensure one of the most important annual events of the chapter, recognizing our volunteers, is fantastic. Jen always shows great leadership in keeping the Gala planning committee on track!

The PMI MN Chapter is honored to present Prasad Mathekar as our March 2022 Volunteer of the Month. 
Prasad brings incredible energy and positivity to his role as Program Manager for Seminars. He has successfully restarted the Seminars program by bringing in speakers that offer our members great topics and interesting information while earning their PDU's. Prasad has taken ownership of the seminars program and thinks differently on how to engage our membership. He is a pleasure to work with and an integral part of the Professional Development Committee. He deserves to be recognized for his commitment and hard work.

The PMI MN Chapter is honored to present Ellen Kirchman as our February 2022 Volunteer of the Month.
Ellen has been serving as a social media manager on the MarComm team since early 2021. Ellen came in and jumped in headfirst. She took it upon herself to find a better and more efficient tool to assist in managing our social posts. Ellen compared Buffer and Hootsuite and found that Hootsuite was more efficient in allowing bulk posts, which in the past has made it very time consuming for volunteers to post to social media. Ellen is very committed to promoting our events and ensuring that the Marcomm team works efficiently. She has great insight on how to improve our social media presence and works cross-functionally to get it done. She is the type of volunteer we need, and we are so glad she is a part of the MarComm team. She deserves to be recognized for her commitment and hard work.
